Morello Cherries
Finally got to taste fresh Morello cherries from a pick your own orchard in Plenty, north west of Hobart. Quite tart in taste and a lovely change from "regular" cherries

Having not lived in Tasmania for several decades now, are they similar to the old Kentish Cherry variety which was also quite tart but great for jams and stewing?

Actually this orchard was growing Kentish as well, they are yellow fleshed and very fragile but similar in flavour to the Morello.
